What is Ombré/Combo Powder Brows? Ombré Powder Brows like Microblading is a tattoo but uses a different technique in depositing the ink. Microblading creates stroke like hairs into the skin where Ombré Brows creates soft, power-filled brows that is very similar to the look of makeup. The Ombré effect is a darker tail that lightens making its way towards the front of the brow. Combo Brows will consist of microbladed strokes at the front of the brow for a more full, natural look.

What does Semipermanent mean? This brow tattoo is considered semipermanent because it is not as deep as a traditional tattoo. As your skin cells shed, so will your Ombré Brows. It is recommended to have a touch up every 1-2 years if you like a softer powdery look or sooner if you feel like it. Touch ups may be done no sooner than 6 weeks. Those with scars on the brow most likely will need a retouch because scars do not retain ink as well as normal skin.

How long is the appointment? Appointments can take 2 to 3 hours depending on the client.

How long will they last? This cosmetic tattooing service will fade over time. It will need to be touched up at least every 1-2 years. Removal is an option provided by Diana as well but may take several sessions depending on how dark your brows may be. Removal is for current or new clients.

What if I have previous work done to my brows? If you have previous work done, a clear bright picture of your brows must be sent to Diana before booking. Please take a well lit photo, free of makeup from the left and right side of your face and then one from the front to see symmetry (front picture must be a full face picture). If it’s too dark to correct, we may need to do lightening sessions before correcting previous work. If you are happy with your previous work and would like to just get them touched up, maybe because you do not want to travel far again, then we can go forward with the appointment if Diana approves.

How old do I have to be? Per South Carolina State laws, a person must be at least 18 years of age or older in order to get a tattoo. A parent or guardian may NOT sign a waiver to give consent. A drivers license must be shown and kept for technicians records.

Who is a good candidate for Ombre Powder Brows? Ombre brows is great for all skin types from dry to oily. Even oily skin which is great because it is not recommended for those with oily skin to get microblading. Cosmetic tattooing is not recommended for Pregnant or nursing clients, those who have a viral infection or disease, Epilepsy, pacemaker or major heart problems, had an organ transplant, keloids on the face, skin irritation or Psoriasis near the treated area, sick (to include positiveCOVID-19), and those who us Accutane in the past month, Retin A or Retinol in the past month. If you’re using a facial cream that is meant to correct the skin, texture or color, this may effect ink retention.

Does it hurt? Your level of sensitivity will determine your discomfort level. It can be slightly uncomfortable at the beginning but numbing is provided to give you a more comfortable session. Those who are on their menstrual cycle or who are diagnosed with Fibromyalgia may have some increased discomfort.

Can I still do Botox? It is recommended to wait till after your brow service to get Botox done. If we were to do your brows before the effects wear off, we will be measuring based off your Botox features. Shape may fall after your Botox has worn off. If you get your brows done first, the doctor will know where and how to place your injections so that your brows stay symmetrical. If your brows are not symmetrical and BOTOX CORRECTS and bring symmetry to your face, then it is best to do ombré brows 2 weeks after your treatment.

How long is the healing process? Biologically everyone heals at their own capacity. You will go through a 7 day dry healing stage and then you’ll notice your brows peeling. Please do not pick or scratch at the brows to achieve optimum results.

What should I do to prepare for my appointment? Please leave your brows alone and allow them to grow. If you get them tinted, please do not have this done within a week of your appointment. I try my very best to use your natural brow growth when mapping and placing the newly shaped brows down. If you have a planned vacation please plan your appointment at least 2 week prior to your vacation date. Please refrain from using blood thinning medication for a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment (please talk with your doctor before doing so). Do NOT drink alcohol or caffeine 48 hours prior to your appointment. No Botox use within 4 weeks of treatment. If you have used Accutane, even in the past, you must wait at least one month before booking an appointment. If you regularly sun bathe or go tanning, please avoid exposure for 30 days prior and 30 days post procedure. If you show up to your appointment with a sunburn, you will forfeit your deposit and will need to reschedule your appointment with a new deposit.
